The Teen Ambassador Program provides an opportunity for high school students to become involved in RMHC Maine through volunteerism, fundraising, and leadership development. Engaging these motivated teens brings new energy into our mission-based work while developing future leaders of our communities. The Teen Ambassador Program is operated and administered by trained RMHC Maine staff and volunteer advisors who oversee the teens’ participation in events and activities.
As a Teen Ambassador, you will have the opportunity to participate in various events and activities throughout the year. Your involvement may include providing meals for families staying at the Houses, coordinating a project or fundraising event, collecting supplies for our Houses, participating in fundraising efforts, and promoting awareness of RMHC Maine and its mission.
The Teen Ambassadors will participate in 3 to 4 service projects throughout the year. Monthly meetings will occur from September through April. Ambassadors will commit to a period of one year with the option to renew for additional years beyond that, provided they successfully meet their responsibilities. All applicants must be a student entering grades 9-12. Please make sure that you will be able to make the time for these activities as participation is critical to success.
