Alex Labbe 9th annual Mini Golf Tournament

June 22 & 23      TBD      Brunswick

The A.L.F. charity was born from the strength and love of parents, family, teachers, peers, and strangers who knew and loved Alex.

We all learned, from a precious baby in his short life of 13 years, how to appreciate every day, to love and smile at the challenges this life has for us. Alex was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS); in simple terms, the left side of his heart did not function. So it entails three open heart surgeries, the first when he was only 3 days old, followed by the second at 6 months old, and the final at 2 1/2 years old.

Of course, that would have been great in a perfect world, but Alex was a learning curve for our medical field, challenging them every day. He was born to help others, and as a foundation, it is our mission to support children by raising funds for the programs at The Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital, Make a Wish Maine, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Maine, and a scholarship through the Brunswick recreational Department, sending kids to summer camp.

Helping children in need develop happy and healthy lives…
Physically, Emotionally and Socially.
