25 Jan WCCC Student Senate raises over $15,000 at their Annual Polar Bear Dip for RMHC of Maine and Sarah’s House!
Washington County Community College’s 2016 Annual Polar Bear Dip was a huge success. On March 11, many brave participants dipped into the cold waters of Passamaquoddy Bay in support of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Maine and Sarah’s House. Participants were encouraged to raise $75 in pledges to receive a special Freezin’ for a Reason Polar Bear Sweatshirt. Along with other donations, the group was able to raise over $15,000! The event is sponsored by the WCCC’s Student Senate along with their advisors, Karen Gookin and Tess Ftorek . 100% of the proceeds will be split between Ronald McDonald House Charities of Maine and Sarah’s House.
