A Night to Remember: The 24th Annual Hearts & Hands Gala

On October 25th, RMHC Maine’s Annual Hearts & Hands Gala brought over 300 supporters together at The Landing at Pine Point for a sold-out evening dedicated to helping sick children and their families in need. This year’s event hosted more guests and raised our highest amount to date: $115,000, a true testament to the generosity of our community and sponsors. These essential funds go directly to RMHC Maine’s mission, providing safe, comforting spaces for families across Maine as they care for their children during critical illness.

Emceed by Coast 93.1 The Morning Show’s Blake and Kelly, the night was full of energy, starting with a robust silent auction and leading into an exciting live auction that sparked friendly bidding, all in support of RMHC Maine. Guests had the opportunity to hear family stories, including those from former board president, James Beaupré, and Solomon and Amber Nethers, who stayed at the house for 95 nights in 2024. These moving stories underscored the importance of RMHC Maine’s work.

Another highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Heart of Gold Volunteer Awards, recognizing individuals and groups who embody RMHC Maine’s spirit of service. PSL Services Strive, acknowledged for their support of the Portland House, and Jill & Paul Hoyt, honored for their dedication to the Bangor House, received heartfelt applause. Volunteers like these make it possible to maintain a welcoming environment for families when they need it most.

We’re also deeply grateful to the sponsors who made this evening possible:
