21 Aug Horch Roofing Donates New Roof to Ronald McDonald House in Bangor
At Ronald McDonald House Charities of Maine (RMHC Maine), our mission is to provide a “home away from home” for families facing the challenges of a child’s illness. Maintaining our facilities to the highest standard is essential, but it often requires significant resources.
Recently, we were thrilled to receive a generous donation from Peter Horch and Horch Roofing, a Maine-based company committed to giving back to the community. Horch Roofing, partnered with the National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA) and the Roofing Alliance (RA) who have both committed to supporting Ronald McDonald House Charities nationwide. Through this collaboration, the NRCA and RA are assisting all 187 Ronald McDonald Houses across the country by organizing with local roofing companies to provide free or discounted roofing services to RMHC programs.
This donation came at a perfect time as our Bangor location was planning a critical roof project for our main house and apartment units. The project would have cost tens of thousands of dollars, but with the generosity of Horch Roofing’s support, the repair and replacement are now being taken care of at no cost.
This incredible gift allows us to redirect those funds to other essential programs, ensuring we continue to provide a safe and welcoming environment for our families.
“We are just so incredibly thankful for this massive gift,” said Lauren Genenbacher, Marketing Manager for RMHC Maine, “Anyone who has had to have their roof redone knows that this is truly such a huge gift that will make a tremendous impact on our bottom line this year.”
This act of kindness is a powerful reminder of the strength of community support. We are deeply grateful to Peter and Horch Roofing for helping us continue our mission to provide comfort and hope to the families who need it most.
